Xen Orchestra

This is a tool that allows you to manage Xen (Hypervisor) on a web interface. In the HRPC Xen version, you can manage virtual machines from the Xen Orchestra management screen.

Pool

A pool is a unit that consists of multiple hosts and manages virtual machines. A pool has a pool master, and management commands are forwarded to member hosts in the pool as needed.

Host

Represents a physical machine (hypervisor).

Resource

A set of virtual CPU and virtual memory that can be used with the Virtual Instance Service Type.

Storage Repository (SR)

This represents the storage area of ​​the host. There are two types: local storage and backup storage (NFS-BK). Virtual disk images are stored in the storage.

NFS-backed storage

It is set to the default storage.

Virtual Machine (VM)

Represents virtual hardware.

Virtual Machine Templates

A snapshot represents a virtual machine configuration in a template. You can create a new virtual machine template from a copy of a snapshot.

Guest OS

The OS (Operating System) running on a virtual machine.

Virtualization drivers (Xen tools)

A tool for optimizing virtual machines. It consists of I/O drivers (paravirtualized or PV drivers) and a management agent. If you do not install the virtualized drivers, performance will be significantly reduced.
